Job Description

We are currently seeking a dedicated individual to join our team at a nursing home/home for the aged in Sainte Marie, QC. As a Healthcare Aide, you will play a crucial role in providing essential care and support to patients. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work in a fulfilling environment and contribute positively to the well being of our residents.

Responsibilities

  • Take patients’ vital signs including blood pressure, temperature and pulse
  • Assist with serving meal trays and feeding patients
  • Help in weighing, lifting, turning and positioning patients as needed
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of patients’ rooms including making beds
  • Keep track of inventory and supplies
  • Assist patients with bathing, dressing and grooming
  • Respond to call signals promptly to determine patients’ needs
  • Administer first aid during emergency situations
  • Dispense and administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians

Requirements

Education No degree, certificate or diploma required Experience: Experience in a similar role is an asset Language: French proficiency
