SUNMI is currently seeking a skilled Distribution Channel Manager to join our dynamic team. This individual will play a pivotal role in driving the commercial operations of SUNMI’s distribution channel ensuring profitability and smooth execution of processes that support the Sales function.

The primary focus will be on North America, with additional responsibilities for global partners as strategically necessary.

Roles & Responsibilities

  1. Execute Distribution Strategy: Lead the implementation of SUNMI’s distribution strategy within the North American region, aligning with global objectives where applicable.
  2. Logistics and Supply Chain: Collaborate with Finance and Sales Operations to develop standardized logistics, supply chain and returns processes to maximize efficiency and results.
  3. Price Management: Work closely with Product Management and Sales Operations on processes related to price issuance, price protection, credits and market development funds.
  4. Contract Negotiation: Negotiate contract terms and agreements with distribution partners to ensure mutually beneficial outcomes.
  5. Partner Recruitment: Identify and onboard new distribution partners as needed to expand SUNMI’s market reach.
  6. Inventory Planning: Oversee distribution inventory planning and procurement processes to achieve revenue goals while maintaining financial metrics.
  7. Sales Forecasting: Develop monthly sales forecasts to ensure demand requirements and revenue targets are met consistently.
  8. Relationship Management: Build strong relationships with distributors, collaborating on demand forecasting, information sharing and vertical sales planning.
  9. Inventory Management: Manage inventory levels to meet forecasted demand and project requirements, communicating constraints during supply shortages.
  10. Communication and Collaboration: Serve as the primary point of contact for all communications with distributors, conducting quarterly planning sessions and collaborating on marketing activities.
  11. Training and Development: Define and implement a Distribution Product Training Plan, conducting regular sales and product training sessions at distribution sites.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Business Management, or equivalent.
  • 5-7 years of experience in a Distribution/Channel role within the POS or payments industry.
  • Proven understanding of distributor organizational, supply chain and financial models.
  • Experience with departmental or divisional P&L management.
  • Track record of channel management, partner relationship building and customer service.
  • Experience in growing sales and market share through the indirect channel.
  • Product knowledge of point of sale systems, payment devices, peripherals and software applications preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills with a data driven decision making approach.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, project management, negotiation and decision making skills.
  • Ability to influence without direct authority in a matrix environment.
  • Initiative, self motivation, resourcefulness and a positive attitude.
